An independent life without financial worries is within Frieda's (30) grasp when she receives a job offer at university. But the unexpected death of her grandmother forces her to take care of her parents' indebted farm and take over the valuable spruce forest that her grandfather had once created as a family inheritance. Torn between tradition and emancipation, Frieda has to make a difficult decision. Will she follow the path of her female ancestors or find her own way?
